Although the general conception is that this kind of orchids need a lot of care, the truth is that they like to be a bit neglected. The advantage of having such an orchid is that it cleans the xylene out of the air, as well as Philodendrons. Xylene is found in many glues and paints, so these plants would be the perfect gift for someone who has recently moved into a freshly renovated home.

Schefflera is a beautiful, shiny plant, very easy to care for and pretty long lasting. These plants absorb benzene, formaldehyde and toluene.

These popular plants belonging to the family of Arecaceae or Palmae are easy to grow and look very pretty and joyful. As well as Schefflera, they are also useful for getting the air rid of formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide.


Dracaena

Also known as “Song of India”, Dracaena is a beautiful plant with lime green and yellow leaves. They grow in both high and low light and also absorb formaldehyde, toluene and xylene.

Anthuriums are very popular because of their exotic and colorful look, but they are more than just that. They will prove useful in any office, as they absorb ammonia, formaldehyde, toluene and xylene through their big dark leaves.
